Well today I have been busy sorting out the free books for island schools. Last spring we gave a free book to primary and middle schools on the IOW to say thank you. We print 20,0000 directoires on each print run of the Rainbow Directory and we distribute most of the publications into the school bags of pre-schools, nurseries, primary and middles schools. As this is 3 times a year we like to say thank you. So each school , pre-school or nursery gets a free Usborne Book which can go into the school libraries for can be used in the classes room.

Watched Red Nose last night, I always feel upset when I watch this and I am always thankful I have a lovely family. Give what you can please. Bye for now.

Now this tax on chocolate, I think how silly, I was watching the news and it said we are eating more chocolate, it could be more biscuits with cups of coffee or bigger dinners. But I think we are doing less exercise. I know I do less exercise. But buy eating well and doing more exercise for the sake of are health we feel better. I think the government should help with given people a choice maybe offer them more discounts on going to the gym or swimming. Why don’t we do more exercise is it that we don’t have the time or is it the cost. We just don’t have the money. But to tax chocolate where would this stop, sweets, cakes, puddings!!!

Hi, sorry I did not blog the other day, as I just did not have time. Why! I will say two words Calpol – Nurofen. Yes my son was ill and I became the Calpol & Nurofen Queen. But life goes on I have now put together the spring issue of ’The Rainbow Directory‘ full of lots of new things. Don’t want to say to much you will have to wait. Just have to sort out front cover photos and we will be away.

Since January my friend asked me to go swimming and I have not been with her yet and it will be the first of March. I thinks she is still talking to me. So this week I will try really hard to buy a new swimming costume. I have to get one this week as I may of lost a friend if I don’t.

Found a really good blog site www.wifeinthenorth.com all about a model of the female confessional, this journal by a former Sunday Times writer, Judith O’Reilly, who moves her young family to lonely Northumberland, has struck a chord with its no- nonsense outlook on everything from hating Christmas to President Obama’s big ears. When I read this blog I could understand her now I have to view the blog every day.

Have a look and make your self a nice cup of coffee before hand.

Well last night it was no time for a coffee it was time for a coco. I was still up at 1pm looking at other blogs. Blog is a ugly word, well I think so. But I am glad we have them. Technology has now linked me to my computer and maybe you with yours. Childern now will be born into the world of the internet this may be good and bad.But we don’t want them just to stare at the pages, but I have found so much information we must use it more. Blogs connect and communicate to all, blogs let any one jot down what they want to say or think. Ever since I started blogging I can’t stop. If you have time have a look at this blog I found at 12.20 ish last night www.runningfromcamera.blogspot.com The guy puts the slf timer on 2 seconds and trys to get as far from the camera as he can, mad or what. I hope nobody steals his camera in the 2 seconds of running away.

Better get on with some work now, but I am going to make a coffee be fore I start. Bye for now

So pancakes were made. When I took the photos I wanted them to look like they had come from a cook book what do you think!!!! Be nice!
We made about 10 pancakes they were really good. So it will be Delia each year from now. 1 hour later my son was better so another 10 pan cakes were made.

At about 7pm I had a text from my friend a mother of 3.It said
I have multiply Delia’s pancake recipe by 6 for us lot!We do start with savoury fillings then have the sweet ones after tho! Her savoury pancakes had mozzarella, hummus, ham with salad etc.

So maybe next year I will cook savoury. But I could only cope with sweet this year. Don’t forget always make sure you make time for a nice cup of coffee or tea.

Running’ The Rainbow Directory’ can be very busy, but I can have days when I can think! What I mean is , I am not thinking I must call Claire about her advert or I must return that email or did I get a photo to go with that editorial!Being a working Mum makes me happy, I need to work, but I need to work for me. I did think when I have a baby great I will stay at home clean my house, walk the dogs go to the beach, playgroups and music classes each week. Yes I did it all and made really good friends at the same time. But some thing was missing. I did not think careers and opportunities. I had a baby what was I going to do. So The Rainbow Directory was born! I had flexible family, and I worked when my son was asleep and yes when he went to bed.My children now go to school each day, so my working day is great!

But now I have been looking into what other Mums and Dads can do if they want to go back to work. I will let you know more about parternity rights, and flexible working opportunitys in a few days time.

Don’t forget, always make time for a nice cup of tea for coffee, Bye for now
