The 2010 Robin Hill Garden Show generated an exceptional level of support with crowds of over 8,000 people.
The Show’s return to the Gardening Calendar (after a year’s break due to ground conditions after 2008’s wet Bestival) drew stall holders from all over the UK. The Floral Marquee bursting with stunning colours, hues and aromas welcomed some the UK’s most professional florists and nursery’s. Stallholders travelled as far afield as Derbyshire and The Lake District to support the event.
“The most organised and thought out event supporting consumer horticulture in the South of England”
“This Garden Show with it’s carefully constructed show plan demonstrates a real ‘je ne sais quoi’ when it comes to producing an event and creating such an aesthetically pleasing environment”
The giant tulips dotted around the glassy lakes and immaculate gardens of Robin Hill made the event a superb destination for visitors, many returning for a second day. Craft, Food, Floral and Nursery based business supported the event giving the show diversity and interest for every visitor. The Chainsaw carving competition generated huge interest and The ‘It’s a Knock Out’ event assisted in supporting local charities.
While an IW Barbeque sizzled and eloquent wines were drunk the atmosphere was truly golden. The main arena hosted local showman ship of exceptional standard, including, Wight Wizards dog agility, Falconry and IW synchronised ice skating team. Undoubtedly the Robin Hill Garden Show is an event not to be missed in 2011.
