There is plenty on offer at Quay Arts during the Oct half-term break to entertain the kids…

The week starts off with Music, Make me Draw! (8yrs+) Monday 26 October (10am – 2:30pm) Cost: £15 (Please bring a music cd) @ Quay Arts. This workshop with local artist, Jo Hummel-Newell starts off with children making jazz scribbles, classical lines and a hip hop collage – then they will create colourful, vibrant work inspired by music, using big bright pens and weird and wonderful techniques.

Young, aspirant jewellers can book a place on the Jewellery Workshop (age 9-12 years) on Thu 29 & Sat 30 Oct (10am – 2:30pm) @ Jubilee Stores with Rob Fenton and Kelly Yates. This hands-on workshop is a great chance to be creative with copper and silver. Traditional techniques are used within a fun but structured environment.

Children can get their hands dirty and create something wonderful in the Clay Day (8yrs+) with Clair Robinson @ Jubilee Stores on Thu 29 Oct (10am – 2:30pm) Cost: £15. Join the fun and play with a spooky theme! Work will be fired, glazed and ready to collect two weeks after the workshop.

The finale is an exciting FREE Family Drop-In Workshop –QuayArtsLogoweb 2 Quay Arts during the Oct half term break (All children to be accompanied by an adult). A family drop-in workshop to make Hallowe’en monsters! Who can make the scariest monster in your family?
