Grow with your children
Growing vegetables is great fun for children and parents alike. It helps children understand where food comes from. You don’t have to be an expert to grow potatoes and tomatoes and there is lots of free information on line or from neighbours who already do it. But what if you want to really grow your own but don not have a suitable garden?
The Footprint Trust have set up the Adopt-A-Garden scheme. Its aim is simple – match those who can no longer look after their gardens with those who want a growing space for vegetables. No money changes hands and all concerned are CRB (police) checked. To find out more visit the Footprint Trust’s website Or call l Don on
